Beginning Keel boat

CRSC offers a full-day sailing course or a series of four classes for students who want to learn to sail or refresh their sailing skills on RS Venture keel boat. Our experienced sailing instructors will cover all aspects of rigging and operating in this fun, informative class.

Set up these classes to match your schedule or join a regularly scheduled class.

Emphasis is placed in on-the-water experience and our practice grounds are within the confines of the exceptionally beautiful and protected Potrero Bay. As students acquire skills, they will progress to practicing along the spectacular shores of nearby smaller bays. Shore-side instruction will take place on the grass under gently swaying palm trees.

A sailor who graduates from our Beginning Keel Boat class will possess all the skills necessary to confidently and safely continue their sailing experience on their own or in advanced sailing classes.
